Frequently asked questions

Is Numgrove free?

Yes. Every daily tree and unlimited practice trees are free. There is nothing to install: it runs in your browser on phones, tablets and computers.

When do new puzzles come out?

Every day at midnight UTC there is one new tree for each level: Seedling, Sapling and Ironwood.

Do I need an account?

No. You can play every puzzle as a guest. Sign in with Google, email or phone to join the Ironwood leaderboard and keep your streak and games on every device. Accounts are for players 13 and older.

How does the streak work?

Solve at least one daily tree on its own day (UTC) to keep your streak alive. Miss a day and it starts again.

Why was my result not ranked?

Today's Ironwood is ranked when its clock starts on our server as the tree opens. That works for guests too: finish as a guest, then sign in, and your time is posted. Replays, trees started before the clock could start, and solves after the board closes at midnight UTC are for fun.

How do I delete my data?

Use the privacy request form in the game (Privacy → Make a request) or email privacy@numgrove.com. See the Privacy Policy.
